JAMMU, Sept 8: Finance Department today authorized release of 50 percent funds across the departments, out of the available UT Capex Budget 2021-22 in respect of 209 remaining ongoing works taken prior to 2018-19.
The authorization, however, shall be subject to certain conditions, which include certification by the department that no liability shall be drawn and all works are physically ongoing.
DESEOs have been advised to physically verify the projects within one month and furnish report to the Finance Department while the works should be completed within the time line as per e-NIT/work allotment order. AA/TS prior to execution for every work should be in place while e-tendering and all other provisions of GFR 2017 must be duly followed.
A detailed report should be submitted to the Finance Department by each department about the completion of these works so that any lapse in the progress on this aspect is reflected in the APRs of the executing officers.
