NEW DELHI, June 3: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section were higher by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following shortage of trucks against busy cargo movements.
Transporters said pick up cargo movements and less position of trucks in the market mainly pushed up freight rates.
Delhi to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Puducherry freight rates moved up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 58,000, Rs 61,000 and Rs 70,000.
Rates to Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa and Kolkata also went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 64,000, Rs 66,000, Rs 60,000 and Rs 33,000.
