NEW DELHI, Oct 11: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section to select southern destinations declined by Rs.1000 in the local truck transport market today following excess enquires by south side truck owners.
Transporters said apart from good cargo movements, large availability of trucks for southern destinations, mainly brought down some of south centres freight rates.
Delhi to Chennai, Mysore and Pondicherry rates dropped by Rs.1000 each to Rs.65,000, Rs.67,000 and Rs.65,000.
