Freight rates decline on excess position of trucks

NEW DELHI, Sept 28:  Freight rates for nine tonne load for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today on less movements of cargo against excess position of trucks.
Transporters said heavy availability of trucks against reduced cargo movements, mainly pulled down freights.
Delhi to Guwahati, Jaipur and Kanpur rates fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 55,000, Rs 16,000 and Rs 22,000, respectively.
Freights to Goa, Ludhiana and Chandigarh also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 53,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 18,000, respectively.
