JAMMU, Feb 23: Freedom of speech is being misused as the biggest weapon of the pseudo democracy.
This was alleged by Ashok Gupta, president, Dogra Front, while addressing a protest rally taken out by workers of Dogra Front in Jammu City against the double standards adopted by the Pakistan. During the rally, the protesting workers also burnt Pakistan flags.
Gupta stated that in JNU anti-India slogans were raised and people who were responsible for this treachery are hiding in the university campus and the saddest part is that the Delhi police is not allowed inside the campus to capture the people who were responsible for this act which merely shows the freedom of speech or expression as the ugliest face of this pseudo democracy.
He further stated that Pakistan is again following the treacherous policy as it did as the time of Agra summit when the then president of Pakistan was lip singing the peace talks and on the contrary the attack on Kargil was launched by the Pakistan based terrorists.
“The graduates from National Defence Academy (NDA) get a graduation Degree from JNU but never in the past 30 years has this thing happened that any candles were lit for them on their martyrdom but on the contrary on the name of freedom of speech anti-India slogans are raised and the death anniversary of the Parliament attack convict is celebrated”, he said and regretted that instead of condemning and demanding strict action against anti-national activities, some political leaders are supporting the act.
Alleging that some divisive forces are trying to hamper the Nation’s development and sovereignty, Gupta said that the Nation needs to unite against such people.
