JAMMU, Sept 25: A free medical camp was organized today by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force at Ukhral in Banihal while a vertinary camp was organized near Railway Station, Banihal, by Sushatra Seema Bal (SSB) under its civic action program.
At Ukhral medical camp, a team of doctors including one from Army and the other from civil hospital provided the much needed medical cover to the ladies, children and elderly people.
A large number of patients turned up for the free medical check-up, where the needed patients were even given free medicines by the Army. A total of 430 patients were treated in the camp.
At the veterinary camp near Railway Station Banihal, hundreds of villagers from villages Bankoot, Karwa, Kaskoot, Asher and Lamber attended the camp.
During the camp, a team of two veterinary surgeons put in service by SSB checked up a number of ailing animals. The villagers were also provided free medicines for their ailing animals.
