Free medical check-up camp inaugurated

JAMMU, June 17: BJP chief, J&K Ravinder Raina today said physical fitness and healthy lifestyle are key ingredients of a strong nation.
Ravinder said this after inaugurating a free medical check-up camp at Kachi Chawni today. He alongwith BJP State Vice President Yudhvir Sethi declared the camp open wherein doctors from Manipal Hospital examined patients and conducted free tests that included BP, bone test, cardiac, etc.
Raina and Sethi were of there opinion that all those getting themselves checked-up must adhere to doctors advice, change their lifestyle accordingly, stop living sedentary life and start yoga or any other fitness regime in their daily routine to stay healthy.
More than 300 patients availed the facilities and got themselves examined.
BJP leaders said International Day for Yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) which aims at making people practice physical, mental and spiritual practice. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN address suggested the date of 21 June as Yoga Day as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares special significance in many parts of the world, they added.
The patients were examined by Dr.Anil Kaul, Dr Amit Kuner Singh, Dr Swabh Bansal and Dr Deeba Siddique. Management of Manipal Hospital Amit Bagotra conducted this free camp.
Among others present included Anil Masoom, Sonu Dogra, Ravi Thakur, Kartar, Sudhir Anand, Harbans Singh, Satish Kumar, Lalit Sharma, Kartar Mahajan, Nipun, Pardeep Baru, Trilochan Dutt, Rajesh Verma, Savita Anand, Neeru Anand, Reva Bala and Anita Anand.
