JAMMU, Nov 21: As part of welfare activities and to ameliorate the problems of the people, Health Centre University of Jammu in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Naryana Super specialty Hospital, Katra, organized a multi specialty free health check up camp today.
During the camp, patients were screened for chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and common eye diseases. A team of Doctors and Paramedical staff, comprising of Dr Bhanu Partap Singh, Physician Specialist (Internal Medicine), Dr Nitee Gupta, Eye specialist, examined the patients.
Dr Singh, Physician specialist, urged the people to keep their environment clean and hygienic for healthy life style and leading a disease free life. Eye specialist gave some valuable tips to patient for how to take care of their eyes.
More than 170 patients benefited from the health check up camp. Apart from medical checkup, patients were provided with free blood sugar tests, blood pressure and eye check up tests. Dr Bhanu also promised to organize more such camps in near future.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, Incharge, Health Centre and Dr Shabana Azami, Medical Officer, coordinated the camp with the help of JU Health Centre team, comprising Ravi Gupta, Aman Sharma, Himanshu Mahajan, Sahil, Rajani Kumari, Suresh Sharma, Darshan Lal, and Sandeep Sharma.
