UDHAMPUR, Aug 22: A free eye medical check-up camp was organized today by Sham Lal Khajuria of Udhampur in collaboration with Rotary Eye and General Welfare Foundation Udhampur, in village Lalli, which is 75 km from Udhampur town.
More than 400 people, including women and elderly visited the camp with for check-up and 285 OPDs were done. Patients suffering from different eye ailments were examined by Dr Sujay Girish and his medical team. 45 cataract patients were detected for further surgery on Aug 27, 2022 at Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur. Free eye medicines were also distributed to all the patients present in the camp.
People from the villages like Lali, Panjar, Dubi Gali, Damanoth, Surwal Ghati, Chorakot, Sadi, Surot, Arnaut, Charan, Baryoat, Darmot Moongari etc had come to this camp.
Rotary Eye and General Welfare Foundation President D N Sharma was also present during the camp. According to Councilor Priti Khajuria, who was also present during the camp, her father-in law Sham Lal Khajuria has been organizing free medical camps for the residents of village Lalli for the last 20 years.
Members of Rotary Club Udhampur, S S Kerni, Ashwani Khajuria, Harvinder Singh, Sarpanch Simla Devi and staff of Rotary Hospital, Sumeet Khajuria, Anil Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Muneesh Sharma were also present.
