JAMMU, Jan 29: Maintaining that some mischievous persons during the COVID-19 Pandemic collected donation from public on the name of Vridh Ashram Amphalla, the managing committee of the Ashram today appealed the public to beware of such cheaters.
Speaking in the managing committee meeting, Vijay Kumar Bhagotra (Honorary Secretary of Home for the Aged and Infirm popularly known as Vridh Ashram) said it has came to light that during the Pandemic, some people approached the public to collect donation in cash and kind for Vridh Ashram Amphalla.
He urged the public to beware of such fraudsters who are collecting donations on the name of Vridh Ashram for their personal monetary benefits, without any legal/valid standing on behalf of managing committee of the Ashram. Bhagotra said Arjun Kumar is the only authorized donation collector of Vridh Ashram who collected donations from enrolled donors of the Ashram against proper official receipts.
