JAMMU, July 9: Crime Branch Jammu has arrested fraudster Mohinder Paul Sharma, who was impersonating as Regional Head of Kotak Securities to dupe the gullible people of their hard earned money worth lakhs of rupees on the pretext of investing in Kotak Securities.
Involved in case FIR No. 23/2019 U/S 420, 467, 468, 471/RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu, the accused was arrested from Muthi area of Jammu City after a team of Crime Branch Jammu put in strenuous efforts to track him both within and outside the UT.
The case was registered on a written complaint by one Dr Sham Sunder Gupta of Shastri Nagar Jammu to the effect that the accused namely Mohinder Paul Sharma, son of Tara Chand Sharma of village Chaloge, Tehsil Bani, District Kathua, has duped him and other people worth lakhs of rupees on the pretext of Kotak Securities etc.
The accused is presently on Police remand to face the interrogation so that the case investigation is taken to its logical conclusion.
