JAMMU, Jan 7: The Anti Corruption Bureau of CBI, Jammu, has registered three cases related to fraud and cheating by the Department of Khadi & Village Industries Commis-sion, in connivance with several NGOs.
After registration of the cases, CBI conducted raids at different locations in J&K, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and seized incriminating documents.
It is alleged in the FIRs that B R Chouhan, B R Sagar, Baldari Singh and V S Bhagul – all State Directors of KVIC, working during the year 2010 onwards, entered into a criminal conspiracy with several NGOs and by abusing their official position as public servants, cheated the Government exchequer to the extent of crores of rupees on the basis of forged and fabricated records.
