REASI, Dec 6: Organized by Army, a four-week Computer Operator and Information Technology course for youth concluded at Kalakote.
The course was organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Kalakote in coordination with the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT), Nowshera.
Eight youth from the border villages of Kalakote and adjoining villages benefitted from the course which was conducted with an aim of developing skills in computer literacy amongst students and empowering them for seeking employment.
The programme was a part of the Digital India campaign by the Government of India, wherein the potential of information and communication technology has been identified as one of the core areas for employment.
The course emphasized on theoretical and practical classes which included topics like fundamentals of computer operation, MS Office and working knowledge of internet. The students were awarded certification from NCVT on termination of the course.
