REASI, Apr 22: Acting tough against bovines smuggling, teams of District Police Reasi today arrested four bovine smugglers and rescued 11 bovine animals from their possession.
A team from Police Post Bhambla laid a surprise naka at Bhambla area and intercepted three bovine smuggler Sunil Dutt son of Dev Raj resident of Tareru, Tehsil Taryath, Rajouri; Ashok Kumar son of Mela Ram resident of Salangad, Tehsil Choki Choura, Jammu and Kirpal Singh son of Krishan Lal resident of Delari Khawas, Rajouri and rescued two bovines from their possession.
In this regards a case U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1) (a) PCA Act stand registered at Police Station Pouni and all three accused were arrested on the spot.
Meanwhile, team of Police Post Shajroo during surprise naka checking at Shajroo area foiled bovines smuggling attempt and rescued nine bovines from the possession of smugglers Mohd Ashraf son of Makhna of Maslote, Thuroo in Reasi.
In this regards a case U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1) (a) PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Mahore and accused were arrested.
Further investigation in the cases was going on.
