JAMMU: Four passengers were killed and six injured on Wednesday when a van plunged into a gorge in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police here said the van was ferrying passengers from Kishtwar to Sarthal when the incident took place at Mandir Morh this afternoon.
“Four people died on the spot and six suffered injuries,” they said, adding that the injured have been rushed to the district hospital.
On Tuesday, 16 persons were killed and one injured in Doda.
Former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, who arrived here this morning, also expressed concern over rising cases of road accidents in erstwhile Doda district. (AGENCIES)
