Four injured in assault cases

JAMMU, May 6: Four persons suffered injuries after they were assaulted in separate areas of the Jammu District today, police said.
They said two siblings identified as Shivam and Rajveer sons of Pappu of Madhya Pradesh at present Chib Mohalla were assaulted by a local youth after some altercation over a minor issue.
In the assault, one of the brothers sustained 4 stitches and the other 7 stitches.
“After preliminary treatment at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, both the injured have been admitted to Government Medical College Jammu a case under the relevant sections of the law would be registered against the accused soon,” said a police official.
Meannwhile, two persons identified as Bhag Hussain (50) son of Mohammad Ibrahim of Nargara, Kot Bhalwal and Amim Hussain (56) son of Mohammad Shafiq also sustained injuries after they were assaulted over minor disputes.
Both the injured have been admitted to Government Medical College Jammu and cases under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Gharota.
