JAMMU, Sept 2: Pacca Danga police arrested four persons along with 35 kilograms of banned medicinal herb ‘nagchatri’.
As per police sources, police team from Pacca Danga police station laid a naka at Manda and intercepted a Maruti Van bearing registration number JK03D-8048.
During checking, police recovered 35 kilograms of banned medicinal herb ‘nagchatri’ from the vehicle and arrested four persons on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Ashiq Hussain (driver), Showket Khatana and Gulam Mustafa, trio residents of Qazigund and Bashir Ahmad, a resident of Banihal.
A case under FIR Number 152/15 under Section 379 RPC and 6/15/16 Forest Act has been registered against the accused at police station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga police station Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Perbeet Singh Parihar, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chowhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
