JAMMU, Nov 11: Four gamblers along with stake money and playing cards were arrested today from Model Town in Gangyal area of city outskirts.
“Acting on specific information, Gangyal police raided a plot in Model Town, Gangyal and arrested four persons namely Depal Singh alias Lucky son of Joginder Singh, resident of House No 83, Model Town, Goutam Singh son of Munshi Ram, resident of Preet Nagar (Digiana) and Jatinder Singh son of Bhupinder Singh, and Pritpal Singh alias Lovely son of Rajinder Singh, both residents of Digiana Ashram”, a police spokesman said.
He further said that Rs 46100 as stake money was recovered from them while another amount of Rs 7310 was seized from their personal search. “All of them have been booked under 13 Gambling Act”, he added.
