JAMMU, Nov 14: The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha-led administration has ordered the suspension of former SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Sunil Singh Jasrotia, after a JKAS officer blamed him for assault.
It has also been ordered that during the period of suspension, Jasrotia shall remain attached with the Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir.
“In terms of Rule 31(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956 and pending enquiry in the matter, Sunil Singh, DySP, then SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect.
“During the period of suspension, he shall remain attached with the Police Headquarters, J&K,” read an order issued by the Home Department.
