Former PM Manmohan Singh admitted to AIIMS

NEW DELHI,  Oct 13:  Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here on Wednesday evening, sources said.

The former Prime Minister was taken to the hospital after complaining of weakness, said the source. He had earlier contracted a fever.

He was admitted in a private ward around 6 pm, and doctors are examining him.

Sources added that Dr Nitish Nayak from the Department of Cardiology, who is Singh’s family physician, is looking after his health condition.

A Congress functionary meanwhile said Singh was undergoing “routine treatment”, and added that his condition was stable.

Earlier this year in April, the 89-year old politician was admitted to AIIMS after he got a Covid infection. (UNI)
