JAMMU, Mar 17: Former MP (Rajya Sabha), Shamsher Singh Manhas along with JMC Councillor, Kapil Chib here today started macadamization of lanes at Durga Nagar in Ward 64.
The macadamization will cover lane no. 12, 14 and 15 and will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 34 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Manhas said that it was the long pending demand of locals of the area who were facing hardships due to the deteriorated condition of the lanes.
He said that development of J&K is the utmost priority of PM Modi.
Kapil Chib also spoke on the occasion and said that he is committed to make the Ward 64 really a model one. He appealed to the locals of the area to come forward and cooperate with JMC in development activities undertaken in their Ward.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were BJP Mandal president, Suresh Khajuria; Janak Singh, Dushyant Singh, Rocky Jamwal, Ved Parkash, Ravinder Singh and Diwarka Nath Sharma.
