Forest Deptt employees injured in stone pelting

JAMMU, Oct 13: Several Forest Department employees received injuries during stone pelting in Raika area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station.
As per police sources, a team of Forest Department had gone to remove the encroachment in Raika area when it was attacked with stones by the ladies of that area.
“In the incident, several Forest Department employees were injured and shifted to nearby hospital, from where they were later discharged after first aid”, sources added.
According to a senior official, a case under FIR Number 83/19 under Sections 332, 353, 336, 147, 148 and 149 RPC has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station on the written complaint given by Range Forest Officer and investigation has been initiated.
However, no arrest was made in the case till last reports were compiled.
