JAMMU, Apr 13: To highlight their grievances, particularly in wake of repeal of SFC Act, the employees of J&K Forest Corporation have formed a body.
The body, named as J&K Forest Corporation Employees Forum has framed an executive body so as to apprise the Lt Governor and Chief Secretary regarding their demands.
The executive body of the Kashmir Division is comprising of Bashir Bhat, Mushtaq Ahamad Dar, Shokat Ali, Qaisar Ali, Abdul Hamid Hura and Mohd Yusaf Ganai while the Jammu Division executive is comprising of Inderjeet Mahajan, Muzaffar Shad, Majid Rashid, Parvin Sharma and Shokat Qazi.
“As the Government of India repealed SFC Act, confusion and chaos is prevailing amongst the employees, particularly about their future when there is complete lockdown due to Coronavirus and assembly of employees to discuss future strategy is not possible. We are sure that Governor’s administration shall be kind and considerate about future of more than 2500 employees who have yet not been paid full DA, 6 PC arrears and 7 PC grades. There was great hope amongst the employees of this PSU that on becoming Union Territory, they will also be benefited and the hope is alive. We the employees understand the priorities of the Government and extend full cooperation to the administration at this juncture but at the same time demand that interests of employees shall be guarded by any future decision,” said a statement, issued by the newly formed Forum.
Maintaining that in view of the prevailing situation, need was felt for an employees’ platform to project their view point and approach the Government for their future, the Forum said that leadership of Kashmir (Bashir Bhat) and Chenab valley was reached out on phone and it was unanimously decided to frame this body, which will separately approach the Government through emails etc.
