REASI, Mar 12: Forest Block Officer Hut at Sungri area in Gulabgarh Range of Mahore Forest Division was evicted from encroachers.
With the assistance of concerned Forest staff, Police and Forest Protection Force got the Forest Block Officer Hut evicted in two joint operations on March 11 and 12.
In First phase, the building of Forest Block Officer Hut Shergarhi Block was evicted yesterday despite tough resistance from the encroachers namely Shabir Ahmed son of Mohd Shafi and his brother Mohd Farooq, both residents of Sungri area near Dak Bungalow.
In the second phase, the car washing ramp erected on forest land beside the Hut was dismantled by using JCB machine today . The Government property was encroached upon since 2014 onwards and during this time, the encroachers had also erected one ramp for car washing on forest land.
FIR was lodged against the accused for encroaching the Government property and misbehaving with the staff.
