FORCE constitutes sub-committees to intensify stir over B Ed duration issue

JAMMU, July 8:  To further intensify its ongoing stir against alleged discriminatory attitude of the State Government as well as Jammu University over the issue of B Ed/M Ed course duration, Forum of Recognized Colleges of Education (FORCE) has constituted its sub-committees.
These sub-committees were constituted during a meeting of FORCE, held today under the chairmanship of S Harbans Singh, president FORCE and attended by more than fifty Chairmen of B Ed Colleges.
S Harbans Singh declared the constitution of core committee to co-ordinate the activities of the FORCE members and students in different districts of Jammu province. District wise sub-committees, representing the FORCE were constituted to mobilize support against the anti-students policies of the State Government and the Jammu University.
The  district Jammu committee comprises of  M S Katoch, Sanjay Mahajan,   Parneesh Mahajan,  Vikram Handa,  Rahul Kapoor,  Arun Kumar Sharma,  Jahangir Malik,  Wasim Kohli,  Sartaj Singh,  Munish Suri,  Rajinder Kumar and  Tarun Behl.
District Samba committee comprises  Parkash Sharma,  Samardev Singh Charak,  Koushal Kumar,  Sanjiv Kumar and  Ved Parkash while district Kathua committee is comprising of  Pankaj Dogra, K K Bakshi, Swami Parmanand Saraswati, Th  Gandharav Singh and   Rajinder Sharma.
District Udhampur committee members are Ashok Khajuria, Aman Kalra, Mineesh Gulati, Pardeep Singh and Upkar Kalra while District Rajouri and Poonch committee comprises of Aijaz Jan, T M Tariq, Muslim Wani and Rehan Khan.
The speakers described it most unfortunate that the Government is following double standards in the State, in the field of education, which is totally against the interest of students of Jammu province. The University of Jammu also came under severe criticism for adopting different admission criteria for the B Ed/M Ed, B PEd/M PEd/BCA students in the affiliated institutions. They warned the Government and JU  against the same and demanded an immediate rectification to have similar standards on the pattern of Kashmir University.
Prominent among those, who attended the meeting, included  Th Gulchain Singh Charak, R S Chib,  Aijaz Jan,  Kuldeep Wahi,  Pankaj Dogra,  Ashok Khajuria, Parneesh Mahajan and Mineesh Gulati.
