JAMMU, July 30: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir, general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta, echoing the party’s philosophy, stress that for BJP power is a medium to serve people and enact policies that directly impact the lives of the people, thereby fostering an atmosphere of national development and progress.
Speaking at a free medical camp, Vibodh Gupta complimented the OBC Morcha J&K president, Sunil Prajapati, for taking crucial initiatives aimed at serving the people.
“The primary philosophy of the party has always been to serve the people, and such medical camps exemplify this commitment”.
The BJP’s commitment to the welfare of the people and the nation continues to be its driving force, as it strives to make a positive impact on the lives of citizens through various initiatives and programmes”, said Vibodh
While interacting with the people Dr Sushil Sharma stated that Cardiovascular disease (CVD), specifically coronary heart disease and stroke, is the leading cause of death and disability-adjusted life years for all regions of the world. Currently, approximately 80% of CVD deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, where health care infrastructures and access to treatment are limited. Therefore, effective approaches for the prevention of CVD are crucial to reduce the future disease burden and improve population health. Among the many established risk factors for CVD, diet plays an important role. In the past several decades, numerous studies have enhanced our understanding of the relationship between diet and cardiovascular health.
He elaborated that based on the current evidence, the optimal dietary pattern to reduce CVD is one that emphasizes whole grains, fruits and vegetables, legumes, nuts, fish, and moderate dairy and heart-healthy vegetable oil intake. This pattern will likely reduce the CVD risk, he added.
Sunil Prajapati highlighted the BJP workers’ unwavering readiness to serve both the people and the nation, emphasizing their dedication to the betterment of society. He also commended Dr Sushil Sharma’s significant positive impact in the field of preventive cardiology through his free medical camps, particularly for individuals suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
The event saw the presence of several members of the party, including Raman Chalotra (Secretary BJP OBC Morcha), Ram Lubhaya (office secretary BJP OBC Morcha), Ravish Mengi (president Janipur Mandal BJP) and many others.
