Foods that prevent cancer

Research suggest that ‘Healthy food choices’ is the ‘Happy food choices’. Eating fruits and vegetables have not only physical but has mental and emotional benefits and is the great long term investment in future wellbeing.
Scientist showed that no single food can protect us against cancer but a right combination of diet filled with a variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, antioxidants and other plant food help us to lower the risk of cancer. Few of the anti-cancer products are
Exotic spice: Strongest anticancer booster- Turmeric contain an active compound curcumin which is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Apart from many health benefits researchers have found that it has the power to suppress the transformation, proliferation and invasion of cancerous cells.
Green tea: Green tea is made from unoxidized leaves and is one of the least processed types of tea. It is rich in antioxidant and revitalizing properties. According to the researchers it has plently of health benefits from which the most important evidence is that green tea help to reduce the overall risk of cancer and rejuvenate the body from any kind of stress.
Cabbage family and cancer: Cruciferous vegetables including cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli etc. can be consumed after boiling or in shape of salad as it contains important minerals and fibers which may help the body to defend against cancer especially colon, cervix and breast cancer.
Dark green leafy vegetables: Dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, lettuce, green mustard leaves are rich in fibers, folate and carotenoids which help the body to cure from mouth, larynx and pancreas cancer.
Citrus fruits: Citrus fruits contain oranges, lemon, blueberries, amla or Indian goose berry, grapefruits etc. contribute in cancer prevention as they are loaded with vitamin C and other antioxidant, antimutagenic and antiproliferative constituents.
Folate rich food: Beans, peanuts, sunflower seeds, beet roots, fresh fruits and fresh juices, whole grains, asparagus, lentils, avocados, carrots, seed & nuts etc. are best source of folate (B9). The best way to get folate is not from a pill, but by eating enough fruits, vegetables and enriched grain products. More folate rich diet can lower the cancer risk.
Water as a natural protector and cleanser: Water not only quenches the thirst, but it also detoxes and protects us against bladder cancer. By diluting the concentrated agents that cause cancer, water and other fluids act as a best cleaner.
