POONCH, July 21: A team from local administration headed by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety, Tariq Choudhary conducted extensive special drive in the local market here and destroyed substandard sweets, meat, vegetables and fruits besides other eatables.
The team during the month of Ramzan also conducted similar drive at Mendhar and Surankot. Assisted by Food safety officer Javed, TSO and SHO Poonch, the team also found domestic LPG cylinders being used in Dhabas and tea stalls besides sweet shops. They issued warning to display latest rate lists and keep sweets and other eatables covered. Five persons were also challaned for smoking at public places.
