JAMMU, Mar 20: A team of Food Safety Officers along with Asstt Controller Food, Municipal Limits Jammu, today carried out surprise inspection of food business operators dealing in different kinds of food products and lifted some samples for testing.
Four (04) samples of milk of different categories, one (01) sample of cheese and one (01) sample of packaged drinking water were lifted from the areas of Muthi, Roop Nagar, and Durga Nagar. In addition to above, two (02) surveillance samples of fresh vegetables were also lifted. All the samples were sent to Food Testing Laboratory for carrying out analysis / testing.
During the inspection, two Nanwaie shops, one Halwaie shop and one Meat shop were recommended for Challan under section 56 of the FSS Act for carrying out business in unhygienic and unsanitary condition.
