Fog claims 2 lives; 3 injured

JAMMU, Dec 31: Two youths were killed and three others critically injured in two head on collision between two motorcycles near Ranbir Higher Secondary School, Parade falling under the jurisdiction of Pacca Danga Police Station.
It was dense fog last night, when the two motorcycles coming from opposite direction collided near Ranbir School causing critically injuries to five youths.
On getting information, police party from Parade Police Post rushed to the spot and shifted the injured youths to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where two youth failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to their injuries.
The bodies of the deceased identified as Rakesh Tuli alias Sonu, son of Sham Lal Tuli of Mastgarh and Satish Kapoor alias Sonu, son of Sushil Kapoor of Janipur were handed over to legal heirs for last rites after completion of legal formalities.
The critically injured identified as Ankush Kapoor, son of Lal Chand Kapoor, Aman Katyal, son of Vishwa Mitra Katyal and Abhi Mahajan, son of Krishan Gupta, all residents of Purani Mandi were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under FIR number 202/ 12 has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and investigation started.
