An order issued in this context read, “the Administration is committed to speedy disposal of the grievances as may be received from the general public. Public engagement is fundamental for accountable, transparent, and good governance.”
“With a view to promote public outreach and for prompt service delivery, Governor has directed all the Heads of the Department to remain accessible to the public,” the order further read.
“Therefore, all the concerned HoDs are impressed upon to earmark one hour on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday after 1200 hours onwards and remain available in office to hear the public grievances.
“The HoDs should not fix any engagements/meetings/tour during the time slotted,” read the order issued by Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, Ladakh.
