JAMMU, Nov 27: Youth activist and general secretary JKPYC Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar along with many SI aspirants held a protest demonstration against the rising unemployment rate in Jammu and Kashmir and demanded one-time age relaxation of at least 5 years for SI aspirants.
Talking to reporters during the protest, Singh said that unemployment has reached 22.2 per cent in J&K which figures among top states across the nation in terms of unemployment. He castigated the present regime at the Centre as well as the Union Territory Administration for alleged failure to formulate a result oriented employment policy for the youth of J&K.
Bhullar said that as Mahatma Gandhi has said the true source of rights is duty and if all these departmental heads would have discharged their duties well on time (means referred the posts to various departments well in time), then a large number of educated unemployed youth would not have become over-aged.
