JAMMU, May 28: Police in Jammu District have seized five vehicles for mining illegally on Sunday.
A police spokesperson said that one tractor trolley was seized by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned Inspector Vikram Sharma, another by a team of Police Station RS Pura led by Inspector Pawan Kumar, one tipper by a team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by Inspector Azad Ahmad, one tractor trolley by a team of Police Post Phallain Mandal led by incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, and one dumper by a team of Police Post Chowki Choura led by incharge Police Post Pankaj Katoch.
“The seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” said the police spokesperson, adding that DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries.
