JAMMU, Oct 26: Five persons including a nine-year-old boy were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a pedestrian identified as Reeta Devi (48) daughter of Mangal Dev, resident of Krishna Nagar (Miran Sahib), was hit and injured by an unknown vehicle at Kotli Longitiyan in Miran Sahib area.
In a hit and run case, a car bearing registration number JK02BC-9797 hit and injured two boys at Miran Sahib when the two were walking along the road. The injured boys have been identified as Raman (18) son of Arjun Kumar and Vishal (16) son of Raj Kumar, both residents of Miran Sahib.
At Panjgrian in Nagrota area, a pedestrian identified as Rattan Lal (38) son of Sansar Chand, resident of Katra, was hit and injured by a motorcycle.
A nine-year-old boy was also injured when a rashly driven bike hit him at Paloura. The injured boy has been identified as Jodhu son of Kuldeep Kumar, resident of Paloura.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
