DODA, Sept 20: Five persons got injured when a Taxi they were travelling in turned turtle on a road near Bimina village of Dessa area.
According to reports, the accident occurred on Doda-Dessa road near Bimina village, 25 Km from Doda town, when a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK06-5839 carrying five passengers including driver was on its way from Bimina to Dessa.
The mishap occurred when driver lost control on the vehicle while avoiding a pothole. In the mishap, all the passengers got injured.
“Police along with locals immediately reached the spot and rescued all the passengers from the ill-fated vehicle and shifted them to District Hospital Doda, where their condition is said to be stable,” said Deputy SP HQ, Iftkhar Ahmed.
The injured have been identified as Des Raj (60) son of Neelkanth and his wife Shirjan Devi(59), residents of Shingri Dessa, Jaswant Singh (38) son of Fulel Singh, resident of Shingri (Dessa), Roshan Din (28) son of Mohd Shafi and Shams Din (25) son of Kala Gujjar, resident of Hill (Dessa).
