Five-day Sector Specific Workshop begins at CUJ

JAMMU, July 19: A five-day Sector Specific Workshop commenced today here at Community College, Central University of Jammu (CUJ).
The workshop is being organized jointly by Directorate of RMSA, J&K and Central University of Jammu with an aim to impart subjective training to vocational trainers, serving in various Government Schools of Jammu division.
Approximately 120 vocational trainers are participating in the workshop. The programme envisages imparting training on Information Technology as well as Retail and Healthcare. Besides, special sessions on Communications, Soft Skills, Pedagogy and Administrative Skills will also be conducted.
The resource persons have been invited from Central University of Jammu, IMPA, Government Medical College Jammu, renowned corporate sectors and other institutions as well as organizations of outstanding repute.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ, was the chief guest. During his opening remarks, Prof Aima stressed on priority of emerging technological development and carving niche for youth by making avenues for employment. He further advised to explore future prospects for effective implementation of National Skill Quality Framework (NSQF).
Besides, senior administrators, faculty from CUJ including Prof Lokesh Verma (Academic Officer), Prof NK Tripathi, Prof SK Sharma, Prof Jaya Bhasin (HOD, TTM), Dr Shahid Mushtaq (Coordinator, Community College), Dr Poonam Sharma (Asst Prof) and Kiran (Asst Prof) were present on the occasion.
Dr. Ravinder Jangral, Assistant State Coordinator, RMSA deliberated over the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Vocationalization of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education scheme. While speaking on the occasion, State Project Director, RMSA, Tufail Matto, assured his cooperation and rendered all his guidance to the RMSA team for successful conduct of this 5-day programme.
