Under the banner of Fisheries and Workers Association the protestors said nearly 1024 daily wagers working with the department have not been paid salaries for the last five months. “Despite meager pay, there have been delays in the salaries of the daily wagers and that is taking a toll on their families,” Mohammad Maqbool, President of the Association said, adding that a policy should be framed for the regularization of these employees.
The protestors threatened to intensify protests if the Government failed to fulfill their demands.
