First aid training, seminar sessions mark Amandeep Hospital’s 8th anniversary

JAMMU, Apr 29: To mark its 8th anniversary, Amandeep Hospital organized first aid training and seminar sessions at schools, colleges and DPL.
This was stated by Dr Amandeep Kaur, Medical Director, Amandeep Hospital during a press conference here today.
She disclosed that first aid training and seminar sessions were aimed to train the students and police personnel on emergencies arising out of fire incidents and road accidents.
“The first aid project was designed keeping in view botched up handling during emergency situation when lack of vital knowledge leads to loss of precious lives”, Dr Kaur added.
She stated that during first aid training and seminar sessions, many of the learners and trainees assisted in the training and expressed a keen desire to become volunteers for an advanced course to be trained as first-aid workers.
Dr Kaur further disclosed that Amandeep Multi-Specialty OPD Jammu organized a free medical check-up camp at Science College.
Large number of patients from Jammu and surrounding areas availed the facilities of the camp for ear, nose and throat problems besides general diseases requiring laparoscopic surgery to be conducted at Amandeep Multi-Specialty OPD Clinic.
The camp was undertaken by team of two doctors namely Dr Prahlad Duggal, specialist surgeon in head and neck cancer and Dr Paramjit Singh Kahlon, laparoscopic surgeon, both from Amandeep Hospital Amritsar, she added.
