JAMMU, Oct 16: The Department of Fire and Emergency Services today placed under suspension Fireman Hira Lal Pandita, who was caught red-handed by the Vigilance Organization while demanding and accepting bribe.
The Fireman had demanded Rs 17,000 from the complainant namely Rajesh Singh of Samba for issuance of No Objection Certificate. However, the complainant brought the matter to the notice of Vigilance Organization, which laid the trap and caught the Fireman red-handed.
Acting promptly, the Range Officer of Jammu Range of the Fire and Emergency Services Department placed Fireman under suspension.
