BHADARWAH, Jan 18: Property worth lakhs of rupees was reduced to ashes after a devastating fire damaged a three-story residential building in Dugli village here on the interning night of January 17 and 18.
The house belonged to one Prem Raj, son of Hari Saran, resident of Dugli, Bhalla.
However, swift action by cops from Police Post Bhalla and Fire and Emergency Services personnel prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining structures.
After getting information of the fire incident, SHO Bhadarwah, Inspector Amrit Katoch along with cops from Police Post Bhalla rushed to the spot and joined fire extinguishing efforts.
When contacted SHO Bhadarwah said that fire tenders rushed to the spot and with the help of locals and cops the flames were doused.
However, the exact cause of fire could not be known till last reports.
