JAMMU, Dec 15: A fire broke out in the office of the Law Department at Civil Secretariat here, an official of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said.
However, no one was injured in the incident but there was damage to some office equipment and furniture.
The fire broke out in the ground floor in the Civil Secretariat involving the office of the Deputy Secretary Law Department and Accounts Section at around 3.45 am, the official said.
He said fire and emergency services immediately swung into action and managed to control it within over half-an-hour.
However, some computers with printers and scanners, office furniture, room heaters and some office record got damaged in the incident, the official said.
The official said that the police are investigating the cause of the fire.
