JAMMU, Sept 10: Alok (ADGP) Director Fire and Emergency Service inaugurated one day training programme on Fire Aid in collaboration with Secretary Health and Medical Education Department JK, Health Department teams in which training to 700 staff and jawans through the medical experts was imparted.
On the eve of World First Aid Day training workshops were organised at Srinagar and Jammu on Saturday at Fire & Emergency Services, Headquarters, Batmaloo Srinagar. Alok Kumar (ADGP) Director Fire and Emergency Services presided over and at Headquarters, Gandhinagar here, RK Raina DD Jammu supervised training programme with regard to first aid was organised with the assistance of Health Department Jammu Kashmir.
The main first aid training programme was organised at Fire & Emergency Services, Headquarters. Batmaloo Srinagar wherein Alok Kumar, J&K was chief guest.
The training programme started with National Anthem followed by welcome address by Dr. Abrar Medical Officer Fire & Emergency Services, Medical unit Batmaloo Srinagar.
The Medical teams deployed by Health Department both at Srinagar and Jammu imparted trainings to around 700 jawans and officers from all Fire & Emergency Stations of the UT and briefed them about precautions and necessary steps to be taken while providing first aid like specialised medical treatment, burn injuries, wounds, fracture, unconsciousness and electric shocks etc. at the scene of fire.
While speaking on the occasion, Alok Kumar, ADGP, Director Fire & Emergency Services, J&K appreciated the role of doctors for providing first aid training to the service personnel on the World First Aid Day being celebrated today on 9th of September-2023. He also impressed the trainees to impart this training to further service personnel/colleagues so that precious lives can be saved by providing first aid to them during fire fighting and rescue operations.
The similar function was also organised at Fire & Emergency Services, Headquarters. Gandhinagar Jammu which was presided over by R.K.Raina Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services, Command Jammu with the assistance of Dr.Manju, Medical Officer Fire & Emergency Services Jammu.
The training programmes were attended by various officers of the Department which includes administrative Officer, Accounts Officer, and by all Command officers of J&K.
