Srinagar, Aug 7: A cabin containing documents about private schools was gutted in mysterious fire in the Directorate of Education Kashmir here today.
The fire broke out at around 6 a.m. in a cabin where important record of Kashmir private schools including inspection reports were stored.
The education officials, police and fire service personal rushed to the spot and doused the fire from spreading.
The Director Education Kashmir, Tariq Ali Mir, said that the timely action saved the computers and other record in the section.
The Director has constituted a committee to ascertain the cause of fire and asked it to submit its report within a week.
Police have registered a case (FIR number 66/2014 under Section 435 RPC) in Police Station Kothi Bagh.
