SRINAGAR, Jan 11: The top floor of the Tehsil office Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was today damaged in a fire incident.
The locals said that a fire broke out from the Tehsil office Tangmarg building in the morning in response to which fire tenders, as well as the locals, reached the spot to douse down the flames.
After the swift response of the fire tenders, the blaze was brought under control, they said.
Station House Officer (SHO) Tangmarg, Muhammad Shafi told Excelsior that the cause of the fire was the ‘bukhari’ which is used in the winters and that there has not been any major damage caused to the building.
He said that the case under relevant sections has been registered and the investigation, as routine, he been set into motion.
