Fire Brigade, JMC join hands to fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, Mar 31: Keeping in view the prevailing situation arising due to outbreak of COVID-19, the Fire Brigade joined hands with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to fight against novel Coronavirus.
They jointly started spraying in different areas of the city especially where there are suspected cases of Coronavirus viz. Gujjar Nagar, Prem Nagar, Sunjwan, Bhatindi, Chowadhi, Lakkar Mandi, Janipur, Bhawani Nagar, Sarwal, BC Road and Rehari area etc. Tankers are spraying on roads, buildings and quarantine centres as well.
The Commissioner JMC, Avny Lavasa also issued directions to the concerned officers and sanitation field staff for taking every possible measure for spraying, fumigation and sanitation on war footing basis to avoid spreading of COVID-19.
She further appealed to the general public to come forward and join hands with the JMC in maintaining proper sanitation and also appealed to them not to come out of their homes so that spreading of deadly virus is stopped.
