Fire breaks out in District Hospital Baramulla

Srinagar, Sept, 14: A fire broke out today at District Hospital Baramulla out of scrap collected on the other side of the building due to short circuit.

Smoke was noticed coming out from a part of the building of the hospital around noon forcing the hospital administration to call the fire tenders.
The fire tenders were pressed into the action that was able to douse down the flames without any loss of life or the property.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Sayed Masood told Excelsior that the fire was brought under control immediately and there was no loss of property.
“There was short-circuit that caused the fire. The hospital swung into the action quickly and the fire was brought under control,” he said.
An official from the Fire and Emergency Department told Excelsior that it was a minor fire incident that was brought under control immediately. He also said the fire emerged out of the hospital scrap that has been collected there.
