Fire breaks out along LoC after Rajouri mine blasts

JAMMU : A major fire broke after mines exploded across the fence along the  Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir today. “A devastating fire broke out early this morning due to mine blasts on other  side of the fence in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir facing out forward posts Old Gun  and Pimple in Balnoi Sector, official sources here  said.
They said the posts are being manned by Mahar Regiment, adding, “Own  troops have been put on alert in case fire enters the Indian territory.
Sources said the fire was spreading fast in the area due to the  speedy winds.
Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said, “No mine blast has  taken place. It was just a routine firing exercise by the troops at the firing  range close to the LoC. (AGENCIES)
