FIR against RDD employee for misuse of DM’s pass

POONCH, Apr 26: The police has registered an FIR against an employees of Rural Development Department (RDD), presently posted in Mendhar area for misuse of District Magistrate’s pass issued for shifting his ailing relative to Jammu for treatment.
Official sources said that Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) Niaz Ahmed, son of Farooq Ahmed, resident of Pathana Teer in Mendhar Sub Division obtained movement pass from the District Magistrate, Poonch claiming that he intended to shift his wife to Jammu for urgent medical check up and tests. Accordingly, he received the pass and went to Sunderbani along with two others in private vehicle and brought back total six persons including his Bhabhi from Sunderbani.
They reached village today but the police naka parties in Mendhar area informed SDM and SDPO about the matter. Taking serious note of the issue, the Sub Divisional Administration directed SHO Mendhar to register FIR against the said RDD employee and put the members who came from Sunderbani to quarantine centre at Mendhar. Accordingly, the police registered a case FIR No. 78/2020 against the GRS Niaz Ahmed and started investigation.
The SDPO, Mendhar Neeraj Padyar when contacted confirmed that the GRS of Block Development Office played fraud and misused the pass issued for the medical examination/ medical treatment of his wife in Jammu but he brought back his 3 relatives from Sunderbani/ Jammu area. Therefore, he has been booked at Police Station Mendhar.
