FIR against driver for violation of DM orders

POONCH, May 13: The police has booked a driver while carrying essential commodities in his vehicle, in violation of District Magistrate’s orders.
Official sources said that police party under the supervision of SSP Poonch Romesh Angral (JKPS) established Nakas at different locations to stop the unnecessary movement of people/ vehicles and to allow only vehicles carrying essential commodities as per the orders of DM Poonch.
The Mendher police party led by SHO, under the supervision of SDPO Mendher Neeraj Padyar stopped a truck bearing registeration No JK02 R – 1149 carrying essential commodities and found that 06 persons including children are sitting in the truck closely and without bearing masks which is clear voilation of District Magistrate Poonch order in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
In this regard, a case FIR No.95 /2020 u/s 188 IPC was registered against the truck driver namely Mohd Naseeb, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Gohlad in Mendhar.
