JAMMU, Aug 22: “Identity Card–a life line”, a film based on situation in Jammu and Kashmir has outshined at International level by getting three awards including best film award.
The film has bagged prestigious best film award at American International Film Festival Award held at San Francisco. “Red Crush”, a South African company recently acquired international rights of the film to showcase it worldwide. The film is going to be released on August 29, 2014 all over India.
Co producer and Actor, Tariq Khan disclosed that in the history of J&K Film Industry, first time a film has bagged three prestigious awards at International Film Festival held at San Francisco, where films across the world are screened. The film, Identitycard — a life line, has clinched best film, best director and best supporting actor award.
Disclosing about the selection of film for American Festival, Kashmiri Film maker, Rahat Kazmi said San Fransico Global Fest (SFGF) jury after seeing film selected the film for best film award and two other awards.
Rahat said, film is ready for release on 29th of August at all India level including Jammu and Kashmir and trailer is already out on internet. Film is being dubbed into 11 international languages. Film is being produced by Rahat Kazmi Films, Amarchand Motion pictures, Films and Reels Productions Private Limited and co produced by another Kashmiri youth, Tariq Khan. Khan’s another film, Ek Sarkari Joota, is too in pipeline as shooting of film has completed.
Crew of the film includes veterans like Raghubir Yadav, Vipin Sharma, Brijendra Kala, uprising Tia Bajpai and also new comers, Shoib Kazmi, Furqan Merchant, Prashanth Gupta and gorgeous Manini Mishra.
